 Thirsty Thursdays is the travel industry’s NIGHT OF NIGHTS held on the last Thursday of each month in Sydney's CBD at The Shelbourne Hotel, an up-market stylish venue on the corner of Market & Sussex Streets.
This invitation to sponsor is simply a request to donate prizes in exchange for free advertising, marketing and promotion of your company.
Thirsty Thursdays launched in February 2003, now attracts up to 500 industry people including Travel Agents whom make up the majority of guests, although all sectors of the industry attend each month.
We view the night as a perfect networking opportunity, a chance to cost effectively promote your product or services and to have some fun.
To help liven the event we give away 3 main prizes, offer the 1st 100 people a free drink, play a game to win spot prizes and one company sponsors the finger food. We like to provide entertainment when suitable. Overall we look for 6 levels of sponsorship with a variety of sponsors, although one company may host the entire event. In that instance all prizes, drink vouchers and food will need to be provided.
- 1st prize - Prize valued at $2500 plus AUD (or mix of sponsors totaling this value)
- 2nd prize - Prize valued up to $1500 AUD (or mix of sponsors totaling this value)
- 3rd prize - Prize valued up to $750 AUD (or mix of sponsors totaling this value)
- Spot prize sponsor - Usually gift packs including eg umbrellas, mouse pads & merchandise
- Finger food sponsor – From $300 AUD
- Live entertainment sponsor - Can include dancers, musicians, acrobatics etc - usually associated with the theme of the month
In return we will offer extensive advertising for sponsors in the weeks leading up to the event on e-Travel Blackboard, on the night and post event PR.

- Invitation published daily on e-Travel Blackboard up to 2 weeks prior to each event.
- Copy provided to each sponsor to distribute to their contact list and staff.
- Opportunity for a representative of your company to promote services on the evening, draw a prize on the night and say a few words.
- You may bring along display stands, posters, brochures or flyers etc.
- A PowerPoint presentation will run continuously on an overhead screen at the venue displaying all sponsor logos.
- Our Mcee will mention your company numerous times during his/her presentation.
